With Great Confidence
Scripture:
30 For two full years, he lived there in Rome, paying all his own expenses, receiving all who came to him. 31 With great confidence and with no hindrance, he proclaimed the Kingdom of God and taught about the ultimate authority – Jesus, God’s Anointed, the Liberating King. (Acts 28:30-31 The Voice)
And so Paul continues on, and with great confidence, telling about Jesus and the Kingdom of God to those that will listen. Even the Roman Jews were having a hard time receiving what Paul was saying, so he quoted to them from the book of Isaiah.
26 Go to this people and say, “You certainly do hear, but you will never understand; you certainly do see, but you will never have insight. 27 Make their hearts hard, their ears deaf, and their eyes blind. Otherwise, they would look and see, listen and hear, understand and repent, and be healed.” (Isaiah 28:26-27 The Voice)
What about you and me today? Do we have hearts that are open, ears to hear, and eyes to see?
My God and Father, I do so want to have an open heart, ears that will hear, and eyes that will see! I want to respond in faith to all You have for me. AMEN
I will continue, Lord, to give You thanks for You are good and Your faithful love endures forever. You are my God and I will praise You. Psalm 118
