Where Is My Treasure

Scripture:

29 And don’t worry about food—what to eat and drink. Don’t worry whether God will provide it for you. 30 These things dominate the thoughts of most people, but your Father already knows your needs. 31 He will give you all you need from day to day if you make the Kingdom of God your primary concern. 32 “So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom. 33 “Sell what you have and give to those in need. This will store up treasure for you in heaven! And the purses of heaven have no holes in them. Your treasure will be safe—no thief can steal it and no moth can destroy it. 34 Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be. (Luke 12:29-34 NLT)

God’s promises come with conditions, and that is good. This scripture in the book of Luke tells us that we don’t need to worry about our daily needs if we will make the Kingdom of God our primary concern. Give and store up treasure in heaven. If we are concerned mostly about our daily needs, our heart will be with those things, and not with the things of God. I do want to live my life for the Kingdom of God, and then believe and know that God, can and will, take care of me and my family. Why should I not believe that? He has proved himself again and again.

Lord, I love to remember Your faithfulness to us. Help me not to forget all the ways You have taken care of us over the years that we have served You. Your faithfulness never fails. I love You, and You are my treasure. AMEN

Father, You have done so many good things for me just as You promised. Continue to teach me good judgment and knowledge. Psalm 119
