Undeserved Privilege

Scripture:

1 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 2 Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. (Romans 5:1-2 NLT)

It is a privilege, but it is undeserved. What an understatement that is! We have peace with God, and a place in His Kingdom through nothing we have done but because we trust and believe. In going through this Thanksgiving season, and thinking about all the things that I am thankful for, this is certainly at the very top of the list: the undeserved privilege of being called a child of God. I am truly blessed, and if I am honest, it all goes back to this privilege of being part of God’s life, serving him, and living for him.
