Trusted In His Promises

Scripture: 6 You remember Abraham. Scripture tells us, “Abraham believed God and trusted in His promises, so God counted it to his favor as righteousness.” 7 Know this: people who trust in God are the true sons and daughters of Abraham. 8 For it was foretold to us in the Scriptures that God would set the Gentile nations right by faith when He told Abraham, “I will bless all nations through you.” 9 So those who have faith in Him are blessed along with Abraham, our faithful ancestor. (Galatians 3:6-9 The Voice) In the times since Paul wrote to the church in Galatia, people have continued to try to put rules and laws in place of simple trust in the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It can sometimes seem easier to follow some rules of conduct rather than simply trusting our God. For Abraham his trust and belief in God and His promises counted as righteousness. If we have that trust and faith, we along with Abraham will be blessed. Yes, Lord, once again today I place my trust and belief in You and Your promises. Your unfailing love is for me always. AMEN I pray to You, Father, because I know You will answer me. You bend down and listen. You show me Your unfailing love in wonderful ways. Psalm17
