Treated To A Miracle
Scripture:
7 When Pilate learned that Jesus was indeed Galilean —which meant He was officially under Herod’s jurisdiction—Pilate sent Him over to Herod, who was currently in Jerusalem. 8 Herod was fascinated to meet Jesus for he had heard about Him for a long time. He was hoping he might be treated to a miracle or two. 9 He interrogated Jesus for quite a while, but Jesus remained silent, refusing to answer his questions. 10 Meanwhile the chief priests and religious scholars had plenty to say—angrily hurling accusations at Jesus. (Luke 23:7-10 The Voice)
What am I, what are you, looking for with Jesus? Are we sometimes like Herod, hoping to be treated to a miracle? Nothing wrong with miracles; we do need them. But what about the reality of Who Jesus is for us? The reality of Jesus as our Savior, our brother in the Lord, our friend, is the important part of Who Jesus is for us on a day by day basis.
Thank You, Father, for the miracles; for the fact that we are privileged to experience them. But thank You most of all for Who Jesus is in my life! You are so good and I love You! AMEN
Lord, because I fear You and follow Your ways I am happy. I can enjoy my family; my husband, my children, and my grandchildren. Psalm 128
