The Gift Of Peace

Scripture:

27 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give isn’t like the peace the world gives. So don’t be troubled or afraid. 28 Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really love me, you will be very happy for me, because now I can go to the Father, who is greater than I am. 29 I have told you these things before they happen so that you will believe when they do happen. (John 14:27-29 NLT)

Peace of mind and heart: that is a gift that gives and gives! So many times I think about what life would be like without the Lord. I have watched some of the people that I love live without that peace, and it is not good. I can live with peace knowing that someone is there for me who knows what is happening, and what will happen. It is so good!

Thank You, Lord for the gift of peace. As we celebrate Your birth during this Christmas season, I want to remember the gift of Your life, and the gift of peace. Thank You that You came, lived, and then died and rose again so that I have life and peace. AMEN
