Stored In Your Heart
Scripture:
43 You’ll never find choice fruit hanging on a bad, unhealthy tree. And rotten fruit doesn’t hang on a good, healthy tree. 44 Every tree will be revealed by the quality of fruit that it produces. Figs or grapes will never be picked off thorn trees. 45 People are known in this same way. Out of the virtue stored in their hearts, good and upright people will produce good fruit. But out of the evil hidden in their hearts, evil ones will produce what is evil. For the overflow of what has been stored in your heart will be seen by your fruit and will be heard in your words. (Luke 6:43-45 The Passion)
Do I/we want to produce good fruit in my/our lives? Good fruit is produced by what is stored in my/our hearts. It is so very important to keep what is in our hearts pure so that what comes out in our lives and words is good! “So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are.” (Proverbs 4:23 The Passion) Good fruit will never be able to grow properly in bad soil. Keep what is stored in my/your heart fresh and clean.
Help me, Lord, with what I store in my heart. Help me to keep out sin, bitterness, anger, judging, unforgiveness, and all that make the soil of my heart impure. AMEN
