Room In Your Heart
Scripture:
34 Jesus replied, “I assure you that everyone who sins is a slave of sin. 35 A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will indeed be free. 37 Yes, I realize that you are descendants of Abraham. And yet some of you are trying to kill me because there’s no room in your hearts for my message. 38 I am telling you what I saw when I was with my Father. But you are following the advice of your father.” (John 8:34-38 NLT)
Those who were trying to find fault with Jesus were always picking at things that Jesus said or did. They were so busy doing those things that they really had no room left in their hearts to hear the message that Jesus was bringing to them. I really do not want to be that way! I want my heart to be open to hear what the Lord is saying, and then to respond to it, even if it is difficult to do so. Who am I to argue with the words that God speaks to me?
Your message to me is always true, and I want to hear it, and then respond in faith to all You say. I love You, and You are good. AMEN
Father, today I thank You that when I face trouble, You hear my cry and send the help and strength that I need. Psalm 20
