Resident Aliens

Scripture:

13 Let’s then go out to Him and resolve to bear the insult and abuse that He endured. 14 For as long as we are here, we do not live in any permanent city, but are looking for the city that is to come. (Hebrews 13:13-14 The Voice) When we meet Jesus, we become citizens of another country. As we live in this world, we are actually resident aliens. We can get so caught up in trying to survive in this world that we can forget that it is not really our home; we are just passing through. But it is important to live our life here in a way that is pleasing to the Lord, and is an encouragement to those around us. Thank You, for this reminder, Lord. Truly we are just passing through and looking forward to our real home.
