Pressed Into Service
Scripture:
1 Paul, an emissary of Jesus the Anointed pressed into service by the will of God, and our brother Timothy to God’s church that gathers in Corinth and all the saints in the region of Achaia. 2 May grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, surround you. (2 Corinthians 1:1-2 The Voice)
This was a letter Paul wrote to the church at Corinth and the surrounding area. He felt he had to defend himself and stand for the truth that he had taught in the church. He truly was pressed into service by the will of God. He had learned, and continued to learn, much of the truth he teaching by the struggles and hard times he endured. When we are pressed into service by God, we need to know that hard times will come, and to not give up when they do, but learn and grow through them.
Father, I remember saying to You so many times that I would not want to through the trial that I experienced, but that I knew I grew from it, and it was part of who I am now. So I do not ask for trials, but I do thank You for being with me and helping me through the ones I have experienced. Amen
Thank You, Lord, for the confidence that You will guide me along the best pathway for my life. You will advise and watch over me. Psalm 32
