Mercy, Grace, and Rest
Scripture:
11 Let us do our best to enter that place of rest. For anyone who disobeys God, as the people of Israel did, will fall. (Hebrews 4:11 NLT)
14 That is why we have a great High Priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God. Let us cling to him and never stop trusting him. 15 This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same temptations we do, yet he did not sin. 16 So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it. (Hebrews 4:14-16 NLT)
I will never know, or understand, all that God has for me, but I do know that as I come to Him, He gives me more and more of all that I need. His rest is there for me if I don’t discount it, and disobey Him. He does understand that life is sometimes difficult. But He made a way for me to come to Him, and receive His mercy and help, and to find grace to go through the things that I need to endure.
God, you do know my needs and my weaknesses, and you do understand. Thank You that You made a way through Jesus to come to You: to come boldly to receive Your mercy, and to find the grace I need. You are so good to me, and I love You! AMEN
Father, I trust that You will not abandon me in my old age or set me aside. I desire to proclaim Your power and mighty miracles to this new generation. Psalm 71
