Listen With An Open Heart

Scripture:

24 Then He said to them, “Be diligent to understand the meaning behind everything you hear, for as you do, more understanding will be given to you. And according to the depth of your longing to understand, much more will be added to you. 25 For those who listen with open hearts will receive more revelation. But those who don’t listen with open hearts will lose what little they think they have!” (Mark 4:24-25 The Passion) As I read the Bible each day, as I listen to messages, as I hear testimonies of God working in the lives of people, am I listening with an open heart or does have to fit into a preconceived idea I have? Jesus says here that if I will listen with an open heart, I will receive more revelation. It all has to do with my heart and the depth of my longing to understand. Lord, I want to more and more listen to You with an open heart and a longing to understand all that You have for me. Thank You for Your grace and patience with me.
