His Door Was Always Open
Scripture:
28 So I want you to know that this salvation from God has also been offered to the Gentiles, and they will accept it.” 30 For the next two years, Paul lived in Rome at his own expense. He welcomed all who visited him, 31 boldly proclaiming the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him. (Acts 28:28-31 NLT)
It is a little hard to picture the life that Paul lived; in prison, and then in a rented house with only one guard. People were coming and going all the time. He had proven his trustworthiness to the authorities, so they let him live a pretty normal life. He used this time to tell anyone who was ready to listen about the kingdom of God…his door was always open. An open door policy is sometimes hard just in the natural. So how am I doing in the spiritual? Do I have an open heart to people? Is this something where I need a tune-up?
Lord, continue to talk to me about having an open door/heart to people who need to know about You. You are bigger than the little world we sometimes try to make it to be. Thank You that You have unfailing love for me. AMEN
My Father, and my God, I thank You for sending forth Your unfailing love and faithfulness. You will fulfill Your purpose for me. Psalm 57
