Heavenly Messengers

Scripture: 1 Long ago, at different times and in various ways, God’s voice came to our ancestors through the Hebrew prophets. 2 But in these last days, it has come to us through His Son, the One who has been given dominion over all things and through whom all worlds were made. 3 This is the One who—imprinted with God’s image, shimmering with His glory—sustains all that exists through the power of His word. He was seated at the right hand of God once He Himself had made the offering that purified us from all our sins. 4 This Son of God is elevated as far above the heavenly messengers as His holy name is elevated above theirs. (Hebrews 1:1-4 The Voice) Over the years God had used many heavenly messengers to speak His Words. But then He sent His Son! He is the heavenly messenger who has brought new life, eternal life to us by His sacrifice. The heavenly messengers who came before Jesus prepared the way for Him. We can be so thankful for the truths that we are taught through them. Father, thank You that You love us so much that You sent Your Son to give us new life, eternal life. Thank You for the many heavenly messengers You used to show us truth, to prepare the way for Jesus. Thank You for Your unfailing love. AMEN I will continue to listen carefully to what my God the Lord is saying. He speaks peace to those who love Him, His people. Psalm 85
