Finish The Work Assigned
Scripture:
22 “And now I am going to Jerusalem, drawn there irresistibly by the Holy Spirit, not knowing what awaits me, 23 except that the Holy Spirit has told me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead. 24 But my life is worth nothing unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about God’s wonderful kindness and love. (Acts 20:22-24 NLT)
I was drawn to this phrase this morning; “finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus”. I feel there is still more for me to do to “finish the work assigned me”. In the years left to me, I want to be productive, and to be doing all that will help me to “finish the work assigned”.
Lord, You hear my heart and prayer this morning. I am open to You showing me the next steps, the next ways that will help me to “finish the work assigned”. I love You, and You are my strength. AMEN
Father, I bless You for You are my rock, my loving ally, my fortress, my tower of safety, my shield. I take refuge in You. Psalm 144
