Celebrate Your Faithfulness
Scripture:
19 The stories about the way you are living in obedience to God have traveled to all the churches. So celebrate your faithfulness to God that is being displayed in your lives — seek wisdom about the good life, and remain innocent when it comes to evil. 20 If you do this, the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet soon. May the grace of the Anointed One, the Liberating King, be ever present with you. (5-14-17 The Voice)
In this chapter of Romans Paul spends most of the time recognizing his many friends and family. That is always a good idea to honor those who are there for us, and help us along the way in our journey of faith. Then he says to the church to celebrate their faithfulness to God. Sometimes we forget to celebrate. What we enjoy in this life because of our faithfulness to God should be celebrated.
Father, today I do celebrate Your faithfulness in my life and in my family. Today is Mother’s Day, and I celebrate our daughters, Stephanie and Melissa! Thank You for allowing me to be their mother. And then to be a grandmother to Jesse Boy, Mr. Jude, and Zany Zane. What a joy and delight for me!
May Your glory, O Lord, last forever! As I think about all that You have made and all You have done, may You be pleased with my thoughts. Psalm 104
