He Has Intervened

Hi Friends, I’ve included a link here to the latest update on my stem cell transplant. Jim’s Health Update  Reading: Mark 13; Proverbs 7 20 In fact, unless the Lord shortens that time of calamity, the entire human race will be destroyed. But for the sake of his chosen ones he has shortened those days. (Mark 13:20 NLT) 20 If he let the days of trouble run their course, nobody would make it. But because of God’s chosen people, those he personally chose, he has already intervened. (Mark 13:20 MSG) Jesus spoke these words of warning about the troubles that were soon to come on Jerusalem and about troubles that people would face in future generations and he said, “God has already intervened.” God has already intervened! People without faith in a God who cares and who gets involved in the affairs of this life are living without purpose or hope in this world. People with faith in the God who cares and gets involved, begin to learn that in God’s universe, he has already done what he says he will do! When God promises something, it is really and truly already done! If God promises to intervene on our behalf, he has already done it! I’m so thankful for the God who has already intervened! He has intervened in history, he has intervened to bring us redemption and salvation through Jesus Christ, and he has intervened in my life. God’s intervention has given me purpose and hope. God’s intervention has provided healing, provision, and protection for me and my family. God intervened for Israel in Egypt, in the wilderness, and in the battles for Canaan. God intervened for the Jews and Christians who would experience the terrible things to come upon Israel in the first century. God has intervened for you and me!

Prayer: Father, Thank you for being the God who has already intervened. Thanks for intervening in my life. Thanks that when you promise in your word what you will do for us, how you will intervene in the affairs of this world on behalf of your people, it’s already done! Help me and my friends who read this and think about it today to be instruments of your intervention on behalf of others who are facing challenges and calamities in their worlds. May we be instruments of your grace and peace. Amen.
