The New Old Commandment
Then Jesus said, “I have a New Commandment for you! Love each other as I have loved you.”
Then Jesus said, “I have a New Commandment for you! Love each other as I have loved you.”
This “how can I be sure” question is different. It’s about being sure I really know God.
God loved the world so much that he sent his Son to be the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world.
Key words in today’s reading: Sin, truth, light, faithful, forgive, cleanse.
We’ll act and talk more and more like Jesus, because the same Spirit that moved him will be moving in us.
John: I testify that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and to know him is to know God himself.”
John declares, “We know this is an accurate account of the life and ministry of Jesus the Christ!”
Why waste time, energy, or opportunity by comparing myself and my situation with others?
Sometimes it’s painful to get the truth out into the open, you know! It’s painful, but it’s worth it!
What if it’s still that way? What if we still can’t tell who Jesus is by how he looks?
